Future Motion Inc. will in the coming two weeks push a firmware update to the Pint X, enabling all the new SW features of the Pint S. This will drastically make the old Pint X way better than before. This will be done by an over-the-air update.
Pint X Firmware SW update will enable:
- Higher Top Speed: Maximum speed increased by two miles per hour (mph) to reach 20 mph for ideal cruising speed
- Custom Shaping: New custom ride setting options via the Onewheel mobile app
- Increased Power: Increased power for improved acceleration and braking to give riders more confidence both on and off-road
- Haptic Buzz safety feature that gives riders an auditory and tactile warning so that they can both hear and feel important safety alerts
The reason that the original Pint is not getting this update is most likely the weaker battery.
