Onewheel Trad -In Program is back

Future Motion Inc. has announced the return of trade-in program for Onewheel boards, offering customers a unique opportunity to upgrade their rides. For a limited time, owners of Onewheel+ XR, GT, Pint, or Pint X models can trade in their boards towards purchasing a new, select model. To participate, complete the trade-in registration by February 28, 2025, and send in your board by March 31, 2025. Read more about it down below

How It Works

The trade-in process is straightforward and consists of five simple steps:

  1. Check Eligibility: Enter your board’s serial number to verify if it qualifies for the trade-in.
  2. Register Trade-In: Submit your board and address information to register.
  3. Return Board: Securely pack your board in a sturdy box and send it to Future Motion’s facility using the provided shipping label (available for the USA, lower 48 states only).
  4. Receive Credit: Once the fulfillment center receives and verifies your trade-in, you will be emailed a coupon code.
  5. Get a New Board: Purchase your new Onewheel using the trade-in coupon code, deducting the trade-in credit from the total cost.

To participate, complete the trade-in registration by February 28, 2025, and send in your board by March 31, 2025. The coupon code will be generated upon receipt of your board and will expire on May 31, 2025.

Eligibility and Requirements

To qualify, the trade-in board must be a complete Onewheel, fully assembled. Accessories, whether OEM or otherwise, are permissible, and the board does not need to be in working condition. This is a great offer if you have a broken board laying around.

Keep in mind to remove all after-market accessories you have installed on the board as you will not get anything extra for them. You can either use them later or sell them to other riders.

Why Trade-In?

Future Motion has revamped its product line over the past year, offering an impressive lineup of boards, including the compact Pint S, the versatile XR Classic, and the rugged GT S-Series. Last year, many customers took advantage of the trade-in program to upgrade their old XR models to the GT S-Series. This year, with an expanded lineup, Future Motion aims to provide loyal customers with more upgrade options to experience the latest hardware.

You can start the process by visiting the official Trade-In Program.

Selling vs. Trading-In

While selling your board privately is an option, trading in offers convenience. Private sales can involve meeting strangers and negotiating prices, whereas the trade-in program allows you to upgrade with just a few clicks.

Onewheel Trade In Value: Future Motion Inc.

If you have a functioning board with low milage on it then you will get more money if you sell it privately. You can read more about buying and selling bords here.

International Customers

Customers outside the lower 48 states are also eligible for the trade-in program. However, they will be responsible for shipping costs and must comply with lithium-ion shipping restrictions, which require ground or sea freight transport.

This will make the offer not really that great for us international riders and we recommend you to try and sell the board locally instead of shipping it to Future Motion as the shipping costs will be high. It’s not an option to remove the battery as one of the requirements is that the board is complete.

Recycling and Stacking

Future Motion ensures that the various components of traded-in boards are responsibly recycled. Additionally, customers can stack up to two boards for a trade-in if they are upgrading to a GT S-Series model.

Ifg you live in the USA and have a broken board, or just want to upgrade, don’t miss this opportunity to upgrade your Onewheel. Act now, as this offer is only available for a limited time! Float on!
