Onewheel GT with a charger plug

Many people wonder why Future Motion Inc. does not include a charger plug with the purchase of the Onewheel GT, a $2200 device. The plug is sold separately for the small cost of $5. The problem is that many users forget to order this essential item and will need to pay a hefty amount in added shipping costs.

If you want to ride your board for a long time, the charger plug will be one of your best investments to protect your board. Yes, you can put a piece of tape over the port and it will seal it off somewhat from dirt, the main issue is that the port is not flush with the rails and dirt can still come in from inside. The only way to fix this is to get a plug to push into the hole.

The Onewheel GT charge plugs are made out of durable and flexible silicone, the same material as the plugs for Pint and XR. Onewheel Charger Plugs offer an extra layer of protection for your board and help prevent dust and debris from entering the charge port.

The board is water-resistant and it’s never recommended to ride it in the pouring rain, a charge plug, if you need to get out in wet condition it’s a must. Never ride in rain/wet conditions without one.

You can easily lose the charge plug as it’s a cheap item, get a couple when you order so you don’t need to miss any day because of a small plug.

The XR is an XLR plug, the pint is a GX12 plug. Looks to be a 3 pin connector, but we don’t know what type. The charge plugs are not compatible between the models.

You can get a charger plug from your local Onewheel shop or directly from Future Motion.

Does the Onewheel GT come with a charger plug?

No, the Onewheel GT Charger Plugs are sold separately and are not coming with the board.

Is the GT Charger Plug the same size as the Pint or Pint X?

No, the Onewheel GT charger plug is not the same size as the Pint, Pint X or the XR. They are all built of the same material, silicone. The Onewheel GT has some designed improvement and has fixed the most common issue with the Pint plug, the handle doesn’t stick out as far and therefore is not as easily bumped off in case of the board rolls on the side.

Will Charger Plugs damage my charge port if the Onewheel lands on it’s side?

No, the charger plug is designed to not damage the board or charger port. They are made of durable yet flexible silicone that can take an impact and won’t damage any connectors in case of a crash.
