Future Motion Inc. has released two new boards on the market the Onewheel Pint X and the Onewheel GT. This release has been a long wait from the community and at last, the XR gets a real facelift with the GT. Let’s start with the ”smaller” board, the Onewheel Pint X.

Future Motion describes it as mighty, mini, ready to take on any adventure. Compared to its predecessor it has increased the top speed from the original Pint’s 16mph to 18mph and at the same time doubled the range to 12-18 miles. This with an increase of list price to $1,400.

This is a massive increase in performance fixing the number one complaint about the Pint, its lack of range. As a Onewheel Pint rider, I have had my share of range anxiety.

The Onewheel Pint X is now a great alternative to the Onewheel+ XR with almost the same specs and at a lower price point, Onewheel+ XR’s starting price of $1,799. The Pint X is the smaller and more nimble board.

The Onehweel GT is a totally new take on its flagship model. It’s taking improvements from the Pint lineup, making it more water-resistant, and at the same time a total redesign of the electronics. This includes a new control system with a higher voltage something Futur Motion has been lagging behind when compared to new companies and alternative boards coming from China.

According to Future Motion, the board packs three-horsepowers, which will deliver more power, torque, and performance at all speeds.

The battery is also upgraded delivering around 32 miles.

This board is a true off-road machine and as many people have asked it now comes with an option with a treaded tire for increased traction. Now you don’t need to put on an aftermarket tire the first thing you do if you want to hit the trails.

No need to buy external leads anymore, the built-in has 300% more lumens than the old XR and features new Highbeams for maximum visibility.

The GT has taken the Maghandel from the Pint and it comes standard with the premium aluminum version. A good upgrade as the board is heavier than the XR, carrying it with the handle is a great feature on the Pint, just that the plastic handle was prone to break.

The boards come at a higher price point and start at $2,200.

Many people are selling their old Onehweel XRs and Pints for the newly upgraded models, there are deals to be found. If you are looking to buy a used Onwheel check out Buying a used Onewheel Guide.
